THE COLLECTION OF JOHN NORTHEAST

donated to the World Rugby Museum

Donated to the World Rugby Mueum is a small collection of mainly Welsh international programmes from the 1960s and 1970s to included other interesting items such a Cardiff v NZ All Blacks programme from 1953 and an Italy v Russia 1980 programme and ticket. 

The collection belonged to John & Simon Northeast. John was was headmaster of Bush School in Pembroke and before this he taught French and Russian at Haverfordwest Grammar School, He then moved on to Crymych followed by Miford Haven before moving to Pembroke. John and his son Simon used to travel to Cardiff to watch the internationals together and the collection has been donated by Simon the museum in memory of John as a lasting tribute to those trips. 

John travelled to France with school teams and he was at the Italy v Russia match in 1980 but we are not sure why he was there. The programme and ticket appear from the match appear in the collection and we feature them below.
